Fashion: Hair Styles: Post 2

Hey everyone! Welcome back! I've been gone for so long because I've been busy with my modeling career. But in the time I was gone, I've come across quite a few new, fun hairstyles that will be amazing new fashion statements! THESE HAIRSTYLES ARE FORMAL.

1. Long Hair: Boho Princess
This cute braided upstyle offers great day to night versatility. A favorite look for summer concerts gets an elegant treatment for that special night out. It's simple, but beautiful. While it does require some serious teasing, it's worth it. Boho Princess - Cute Blonde Braided Upstyle

2. Medium- The Bouffant

While an old hairstyle, good style never dies out. With a few simple teases, you can turn this hairstyle into new age beauty!

Short: Soft Edge
This extremely long sweeping fringe is balanced out with other face framing layers that add lots of drama and shape. A tapered neck line repeats the zig zaggish pattern. Warm highlights are the perfect accent for fall.

Fitness Tips: Fad Diets: Post 1

Being in the modern day, we can have some troubles distinguishing what works and what doesn't. Well, fear no more: I'm here to pick the biggest fad diets, and which work!

1. The Detox Dump- This fad diet is about drinking only water and very low amounts of nutrients to detox and cleanse yourself of excess weight. The Truth: This does exactly the opposite. It'll put intense stress on your kidneys, and cause severe buildup of waste. It will toxify moreFor than detox.

2. The Acai Diet- Made popular by Opera, the diet involves using the acai berry as a 'substitute' in a low calorie diet. It's supposed to solve a plethora of issues, including:

  • Improves digestion
  • Cleanses and detoxes the body
  • Boosts immunity
  • Supports cardiovascular health
  • Increases mental clarity
  • Enhances vision
  • Reduces insomnia
  • Slows down the aging process

(from http://www.everydiet.org/diet/acai-berry-diet)

The Truth: For the most part, acai berries can help with this. However, with only this single nutrient in your diet, these effects may not be present because you aren't maintaining a steady diet and are starving your body.

3. Steam Spa- It's said that sitting in a steam room every day for 15 minutes a week will reduce your weight by as much as 15 pounds. It's supposed to be effective in cleaning pores and making skin smooth, as well as giving it a clean shine. Sounds incredible, but is it too good to be true?
The Truth: Steam rooms are very good for the skin, and can cleanse your pores with ease. The steam, however, can not magically take away weight. It will take away weight for a few days, but that's water weight and it'll be gained back soon enough.

Well, that's enough for this post. Moral: Don't try a fad diet. Just don't. Unless it's proven and safe, and doesn't starve you to death, it's just as bad as ingesting waste.

Hope it was informational:

Fitness: Lifestyle: Post 1: Focus

We all have those days where we just don't want to move, and don't want to work at all. Fear not, these quick and easy tips and tricks will have you awake in no time.

1. An Apple a day....- Did you know that apples can wake you up even better than coffee? That's right! The high amount of vitamins and the tanginess of granny smith or golden delicious apples can wake you up in a jiffy, and you needn't worry about stains on your teeth.

2. SNAP!- Losing concentration and drifting off into space too often? Keep a black or white rubber band around your wrist (make sure it isn't cutting of circulation) and give yourself a tiny 'snap' when you need to pay attention. It's much more effective than it sounds, and it looks pretty nice too!

3. Rinse and repeat- When you wake up in the morning, try rinsing your face in cool water and using a cleanser with vitamin c- My favorite is Clean and Clear Morning Burst. It's very deep cleaning, and perfect for all skin types.

That's all for now! Sorry I haven't been posting a ton, I've been REALLY busy lately. I'll be posting more, promise xoxox

So long darlings~ Craline

Beauty Tips: Face: Post 3

Hi! Welcome back! Today we have tips for all sorts of things, mostly for taking care of the skin.

1. Dry skin? Try putting some lip balm on it. It does just like it does with the lips; smooths and brings down flakey-ness.Try doing it at least once a day, the dryness will go down within 5.

2. Oily skin? Get some blotting papers. Oil blotting papers will get rid of most of the oil on your face, while making sure not to smudge your makeup.Use a simple once-a-day cleanser to make the oil-producing glands on your face suppress themselves a bit, holding back oil. Oil attracts bacteria which can get into pores, causing infection and therefore whiteheads and acne.

3. Stop acne! Wash your hands often and try not to touch your face, thus reducing oil on your face. Eating a diet with little amounts of fatty and bad oils can also help, and overall foods suppressing your metabolism won't help. (For more info on Metabolism-Quickening foods, visit my earlier post on losing weight here.

4.Make a mask! Apply these to your face after steaming (holding your head over a bowl with hot water and draping a towel over your head) and apply them thoroughly. Take them off after 10-15 minutes.

Honey Souffle Mask:
Tightens pores
1 egg white
1 tsp honey
2 drops of an essential oil (optional)

Banana Honey Mask:
Lightly moisturizes.
1/2 ripe mashed banana
1 tbsp honey

Sweet Apple Mask:
Tones and softens.
1/2 apple, grated
2 tsp honey
1 Tbsp uncooked regular oatmeal

Smooth Yogurt Mask:
For sensitive skin, softens and tones.
1/4 cup yogurt
1/4 cucumber, peeled
Grind in food processer or blender.

Avocado Smoothing Mask:
For dry skin, moisturizes and balances tones.
1/2 ripe peeled avocado
1 tsp lemon juice

Strawberry Mask (replace fruits?):
3-4 ripe strawberries, or whatever other fruit
Mash them up and apply

Fitness Tips: Toning and Muscles: Post 2 (Perfect Bikini Body!)

Welcome back! Today's tips are on getting a nice upper body. Enjoy:

First, let's study the different areas of the torso.

  • The Obliques (on the sides of the abdominals) are key muscles for getting the perfect body. When worked the correct way, they can get rid of fat and make the abdomen look better. Some exercises to work this region are: Plank Exercises, Star Sit-ups, and Heel-Touches. For the plank exercises, just get into a push-up position and put your elbows down, then stay like a plank. The others are easy to find here.
  • The Pectoralis Major (Just above the abdominals) are nice for keeping you looking wonderful. The best exercises for this region are: Pushups and Wall Push-Ups.

Hope you enjoyed the tips, for tips on the legs go to Fitness Tips: Toning and Muscles: Post 1.

Fashion: Hair Styles: Post 1

Alright, I know we have a hair section in Health, but this isn't about keeping your hair healthy. This is about keeping with the latest trends.

1. Messy Bun: An all-time favorite (behind the ponytail, of course), this is one of the easiest and most beautiful. To do it, simply put your hair in a ponytail and curl it up, then put it in a large claw clip. Another alternative is to just put it up as you would a regular bun, but do it loosely.

2. Curly Ponytail: A variation from the ponytail, you need to have some lonnng hair for this one. Put it in a ponytail, gathering up as much hair as you can. Then, pull out the good ol' curling iron and curl the ends lightly and the middle very heavily. Make sure you have a good heat protection serum or spray, it gets frizzy.

3. Custom Headbands: Ok, so it may not be a hairstyle. But this is one of the most popular fashion trends right now. I have already made mine, a pair of welding goggles that I use just as my headband. It can be a DIY headband, with the ones without decor at craft stores. It can be a really fun project. Pick up some feathers, and use a hot glue gun to put on jewels and ribbons.

4. The Pull-Back: This one has been popular in recent years. It involves just pulling back 2 pieces of hair, one from each side of your head, and connecting them in the back of your head with a hair clip or pin. There are many variations, such as braiding the pieces of hair.

That's all for now! (sorry it came late, I was on another vacation)
